My Perfect Occasion · Clothing Hire

Your privacy matters

How we care for your personal information.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

My Perfect Occasion operates a clothing hire business through myperfectoccasion.com. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse, create an account, book clothing, make a payment or contact us. For privacy enquiries, email admin@myperfectoccasion.com.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery details, account details, selected garments and sizes, hire dates, order history and messages. We also keep payment status, transaction references, refund and bond records, and relevant information about returns or garment condition. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information or identity documents by email.

Our website and service providers may record technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, timestamps and security logs. Payment providers collect the financial details needed to process your chosen payment method.

Why we use your information

  • Manage accounts, availability, bookings, payments, delivery, collection and returns.
  • Send order confirmations, hire reminders and other service messages.
  • Handle refunds, refundable bonds, garment care issues and enquiries.
  • Maintain business records, prevent fraud, protect the website and meet legal obligations.

You can browse without an account. We need sufficient identifying and contact information to arrange a hire; without it we may be unable to fulfil your booking.

Payments and email

Our store uses WordPress and WooCommerce, with PayPal payment services. Payment details are handled by the payment provider; do not send card numbers, passwords or security codes to us. We receive transaction and order information needed to administer your hire. See PayPal’s Privacy Statement for its practices.

We use Zoho Mail to send and receive business correspondence, including customer service and order emails. See Zoho’s Privacy Policy.

Who receives information

We share relevant information with providers supporting our store, payments, business email, hosting, backups, security and technical maintenance. Where delivery is arranged, relevant contact and address details may be given to the delivery provider. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where reasonably necessary or required by law. We do not sell customer information.

Overseas processing

Some technology and payment providers operate internationally and may process information outside Australia. Locations depend on the provider and service used; their privacy policies explain their international arrangements. Contact us if you need information about the providers used for your booking. We will update this policy as we confirm or change our hosting and overseas processing arrangements.

Cookies and third-party services

Our store uses cookies and similar technologies to keep a shopping cart, remember sessions, support account sign-in and help secure the site. Embedded payment features may also use cookies and collect technical information under their own policies. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking them may prevent parts of the store or checkout from working.

This policy does not describe an active newsletter subscription or advertising programme. If we introduce analytics, advertising tracking or a newsletter, we will update the information here and obtain consent where required. Any promotional messages we send will offer a way to unsubscribe; essential booking messages are separate.

Security and retention

We take reasonable measures to protect information, limit access to people and providers who need it, and retain it only as long as reasonably necessary for bookings, customer service, disputes, security and applicable record-keeping requirements. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified where practicable. Backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Access, correction and complaints

You can update available account details through My account, or contact us to request access, correction or deletion. We may reasonably verify your identity. Some transaction or dispute records must be retained; if we cannot meet a request, we will explain why. We aim to respond to privacy enquiries within 30 days.

If you have a complaint, email us with the details so we can investigate. If unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where it has jurisdiction, or another relevant regulator. This policy does not limit rights provided by applicable law.

Changes and contact

We will publish updates here with a revised date. For any privacy question, contact admin@myperfectoccasion.com.
